Lansdowne is a Hill Station of Indian State Uttarakhand, One of the most Spellbinding place in India. Beautiful valley and foggy mountains, this place is located in Pauri Garhwal District of Uttarakhand with quiet surroundings everywhere. It is originally also known as Kaludanda. Lansdowne was discovered by Lord Lansdowne in 1887 (then Viceroy of India) with a population of 3943 in 1901. Lansdowne was mostly used by Freedom fighters during British Period.
Presently there is an Indian Army's Garhwal Rifles which have a command Office in Lansdowne. Lansdowne is a Paradise Surrounded by pretty mountains It is near to New Delhi which is only 259 Kms away, 107 Kms from Haridwar and around 159 Kms from Dehradun.

Bhulla Tal, Bhulla Tal or Bhulla Lake is a small Lake situated in Lansdowne. It is one of the Best places for Family outings. This Tal is only 1 Kms walk from Lansdowne City centre surrounded by Trees and you can also do a boat ride in it. This Lake is a Manmade artificial lake also is dedicated to the Garhwal Rifles's Garwali youth.
Tip N Top, is the Highest spot in Lansdowne and located around
1.5 Kms away from Lansdowne city centre. You can see a beautiful skyline with an alluring or splendid Shivalik range. It offers an amazing view of Great Himalyan hill Ranges which are far far kms from this point.
Garhwali Museum, Lansdowne, This Museum is dedicated by name after first Victoria Cross Holder Darwan Singh Negi, from Garhwal Rifles. This Museum shows real collections which are rare, Real Garhwali Rifles. The Museum was inaugurated in 1983.
St. Mary's Church, Lansdowne, st. Marry's Church is one of the most visited church in Lansdowne and a tourist spot in Lansdowne. This church was start built in 1895 and completed in 1896. This Church was again started and converted as a museum by Garwal Rifle's Regimental centre.
Kaleshwawr mahadev Temple, Kaleshwar Temple of Mahadev is the Famous temple of Lansdowne and a major place of Worship. It is an ancient temple is belived to be built around 400- 500 years ago.

Camping, As per my recommendation Lansdowne is perfect for a
camping stay. There is a camp name Camp Advait which costs you around 3000 to 4000 for a night which is located in Aamdali, Duggada in Dada Mandi Road. Night sky watching experience is one of the best experience here.
Bhulla Taal Boating, Boating in Bhulla tal is one of the Best boating experience. Due to this tal is not too big anyone even who have a fear of water can easily take a boating ride here.
Trekking or Hiking, Hiking is one of the best experience in a hill station and Tip n Top Hiking is the best example of it. You can take a hike from lansdowne to Tik n Top point.
Bird Watching, Bird watching in Lansdowne is one of the best experience in Lansdowne. There are so many migratory birds migrating from other countries. You will hear a beautiful tweet noise of different birds during morning and evening.
