Gulmarg is a hill station and land of Snowfall and ice-capped mountains in Kashmir State, India. Gulmarg was named by Chak Dynasty ruler Yusuf Shah; it was originally called Gauri marg, or Path of Devi Gauri. It is situated in the Baramulla District of Jammu and Kashmir. LOC is clear from here; you can watch the Indo-Pak Border. You will get one of the best aerial views of earth from this Place in your life. Alpathar Lake
Alpathar lake is one of the most beautiful lakes in India. It is around 13 km from Gulmarg town. To reach Alpathar lake you can do hiking and if you are unable to do then take Gondola phase ride till Second phase then leave for Alpathar lake which is 2 kms away from here. Alpathar lake have really lush views, having blue water surrounded by mountains covered with Snow. Gulmarg Biosphere Reserve
Gulmarg Biosphere Reserve covered 180 Sq kms of Area and it is home of many rare and common species of flora and fauna like Leopard, Musk Deer, Hangul, Serwo, Black Bear, Brown Bear, Red Fox etc and Shrubs like Sorbaria Tomentosa and Indigofera Heterantha,, also Abies Pindrow, Aesculus Indica, Cedrus Deodara, etc.
